The Premier League has officially approved Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover of Manchester United. Ratcliffe acquired a 25% stake from the Glazer family and will invest substantial funds into the club.
Meanwhile, Everton remains in limbo as their prospective takeover by 777 Partners awaits Premier League approval. The deal was announced in September 2023, but despite hopes for a late-year resolution, the decision remains pending. 777 Partners have loaned Everton approximately £180 million while the takeover is under review.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters recently indicated that a decision on the Everton takeover could be made in a matter of weeks.
