Nepal continues its West Asia Football Association (WAFF) Championship campaign tonight against Iran in a crucial Group ‘B’ match. The game will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 8:30 PM Nepali time.
Nepal enters the match with momentum, having secured a decisive 4-1 victory over Syria in their opening fixture. Meanwhile, Iraq will be looking to bounce back after Palestine defeated them 3-0.
Nepal participates in the tournament as an invited team alongside Guam. Group ‘B’ also includes Palestine, Syria, and Iraq, while Group ‘A’ consists of hosts Saudi Arabia, Guam, Lebanon, and Jordan.
Tonight also sees a Group ‘B’ clash between Syria and Palestine. Nepal’s final group stage match will be against Palestine next Saturday.
