This tournament is part of the qualification process for the 2027 Cricket World Cup. Anil Shah and Dev Khanal, who shone in the recent series against Canada, join the League-2 squad for Nepal. Led by captain Rohit Paudel, the team also includes star all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee alongside seasoned players like Karan KC and Gulshan Jha.
According to ICC rules, the top four teams in this League-2 series will qualify directly for the World Cup, with the remaining four proceeding to the World Cup Qualifier. Nepal currently competes against seven other nations including Namibia, Canada, Oman, Scotland, UAE, and the USA for a coveted spot in the 2027 World Cup.
