The highly-anticipated ACC Men’s Premier Cup cricket tournament begins today in Oman, with Nepal facing off against Malaysia in a crucial opening match. The match is set to start at 4:30 PM Nepali time.
This year’s tournament features a fierce lineup of top Asian cricketing nations. Nepal, UAE, Oman, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar will battle it out alongside ACC Challengers Cup finalists Saudi Arabia and Cambodia.
Nepal finds itself in the competitive Group A, facing off against Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Group B consists of Bahrain, UAE, Cambodia, Kuwait, and Oman.
The stakes are high! The tournament winner will secure a coveted spot in the 2025 T20 Asia Cup. Additionally, the top three teams will earn places in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Nepal’s second match is scheduled for Saturday against Qatar, followed by matches against Hong Kong (April 15) and Saudi Arabia (April 17). All of Nepal’s matches start at 4:15 PM Nepali time.
The knockout stages begin after the group matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The thrilling final is set for April 21.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a strong 14-member squad for the ACC Premier Cup, with Rohit Paudel leading the team as captain.
