Nepal secured a thrilling four-wicket victory over Canada in the second One Day International (ODI) at the TU Cricket Ground. With this win, Nepal takes an unassailable lead in the series.
Canada, batting first, set a competitive target of 286 runs. Aaron Johnson top-scored for Canada with 65 runs, while Navneet Dhaliwal (46), Shreyas Movva (40), and Paragat Singh (38) provided valuable contributions. Nepal’s bowlers shared the wickets, with captain Rohit Paudel and Kushal Malla taking two apiece.
In reply, Nepal’s chase was anchored by a superb 87 from captain Rohit Paudel. Youngster Dev Khanal impressed with 76, and Anil Sah chipped in with a vital half-century. Canada’s Ishwarjot Sohi and Harsh Thaker picked up two wickets each, but Nepal ultimately reached the target in 45 overs.
The third and final ODI of the series will be played on Monday at the same venue.
