In a nail-biting finish at the Mulpani International Cricket Ground, Canada XI snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Nepal A, winning by four wickets and securing the ODI series title. Nepal A, put in to bat first, managed a modest total of 181 all out in 46.6 overs, succumbing to Canada XI’s disciplined bowling attack.
Canada XI, however, faced a determined Nepal A bowling effort. Ashutosh Ghiraiya (28) and Arjun Kumar (27) top-scored for Nepal A, while Shahab Alam shined with the ball, taking four wickets. But Aaron Johnson (42) and Nicholas Kirton (58) led a resilient Canadian chase, ultimately guiding them to victory in 38.4 overs.
This exciting win gives Canada XI the series title, having won two out of the three thrilling ODI matches.
