Nepal A has set a target of 217 runs for Canada XI in the opening match of the three-day ODI series at Mulpani International Cricket Ground.
After winning the toss, Canada XI opted to bowl first, a decision that proved effective as they restricted Nepal A to 216 runs, taking eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Bashir Ahmed led Nepal A’s charge with an impressive half-century, while Rashid Khan chipped in with 40 runs. Mayan Yadav also contributed 35 runs to the team’s total.
Kiran Thagunna and Bibek Yadav added valuable runs, scoring 25 and 21 respectively, further strengthening Nepal A’s final score.
